Children misbehave sometimes in a gravely intense manner. When they are young we feel their nonchalance is forgivable. As they grow we feel that their demeanor is grossly demeaning and has gone beyond the stage where we can correct them. There’s no point in whining then, as they are not to be blamed solely, coz as parents we need to lead a life that we want our children to emulate. We can help them bloom in a surrounding where there is no competition, no vanity but a calm interchange of sentiments. A situation that is pleasing to the human mind can be presented to them.
The ‘forgive and forget’ policy at work place has to be adopted when we are afflicted by a variety of miseries by impatient and restless colleagues. On a lighter vein, I would say it is a gross injustice to your ego, as you are depriving yourself of the transitory happiness received while equaling scores. Wouldn’t such moments stand up as thorns among the roses offered during your superannuation?
An attitude and behaviour marked by unselfish concern for the welfare of others should spring not from power or riches, grandeur or glory, but from the conviction of a benevolent mind. What a spectacle it would be when a train of pleasing ideas inspire a good citizen and give him heartfelt pleasure.
When all individuals are molded into this new thought our posterity will cause great changes in and around them. They will be characterized by generous thoughts and beliefs that acting for the benefit of others is right and good. It would be a moment of pride to see this munificence embellish the shores of our habitation.
